Revisional Surgery and Complications in MBS

Overview

The Middle East and North Africa have seen a rise in severe obesity, leading to an increase in bariatric procedures, complications, and revision surgeries. This has highlighted the need for more young surgeons skilled in bariatric and metabolic surgery.

Our Pre-Congress workshop focuses on common bariatric procedures in the MENA chapter, such as sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, gastric banding, and revision surgeries. Led by expert bariatric surgeons from the region and other IFSO countries, the course covers standard procedures, complication prevention, and selecting the right revisional procedure. Participants will gain insights into guidelines, clinical pathways, and management of bariatric surgery and revisions.

We strongly recommend young bariatric surgeons to attend this course to enhance their knowledge and confidence, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes in the field.
